I searched for cheap MRI scans on the internet and found some good deals in Europe but the price of the flight would have made it very expensive. Then I found some information on internet about Firstcare (China) Medical Tourism., and decided to fly to Guangzhou for medical tourism. I was collected from the airport, taken to the hotel and collected the next morning to go to the hospital, just a five minute walk from the hotel. I arrived on the Wednesday night and had my scan first thing on the Thursday and afterwards I spent a lovely couple of days in Guangzhou.

1. Overview
Optic neuritis is the inflammation of the optic nerve that may cause a complete or partial loss of vision.
Major symptoms are sudden loss of vison (partial or complete), or sudden blurred or "foggy" vision, and pain on movement of the affected eye. Many paitents with optic neuritis may lose some of their color vision in the affected eye (especially red), with colors appearing subtly washed out compared to the other eye.
